Sunday, 6 Weeks Post-Surgery, Home Recovery

8:20 PM

• She’s mobile, yall!! As of today, Mom has been home for 6 weeks, and starting as of Thursday, she’s driving now, too. Mom just completed her second full week of cardiac rehab, and so far she’s killing it. Her strength is still rebuilding, but her dedication to being a good patient and taking advantage of every opportunity to get better is inspiring. As always, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making sure mom (and our family as a whole) is covered in prayer and for EVERYTHING y’all as a community have done to support us ❤️

Thursday, 4 Weeks Post-Surgery, Home Recovery

9:00 PM

• Today marks 4 full weeks since surgery day! Mom is continuing to grow stronger and stronger each day, and she is constantly impressing not only us but her doctors with how beautifully she’s healing. She is eagerly awaiting the day she’s able to drive again (in two weeks!) and looking even more forward to when she can sleep on her side again. 😴 After receiving the amount of support we have throughout this process, “thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough. We’re humbled beyond belief by Mom’s community of people who love her so well. Katherine will return home to Atlanta this weekend, so please don’t hesitate to come hang out and give Mom a hard time 😂

Sunday, Day 14 Home Recovery

7:30 PM

• Mom has officially been home for 2 whole weeks, and we are so excited about how well she’s doing so far! She’s been up for leaving the house a for little bit every few days, she’s showering completely on her own, and she’s heading up and down the stairs with ease. She’s really enjoyed having visitors, so please keep coming by! She specifically has asked us to mention how great we’ve been in taking care of her (and we can’t turn down a compliment!) and how good of a patient she’s been (which we can absolutely agree with). Thank y’ all again for the prayers and support! 💖
